List of Low-Calorie Choices from Popular Fast Food Restaurants - McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, Subway, Quiznos, Healthy Choices

Fast food places are dangerous places - you can gain weight like crazy from eating fried food daily! However, there are menu options out there that are both delicious and healthy for you. This is a guide that lists breakfast, lunch, and dinner options from four very popular fast food restaurants. Get ready to tighten that belt!

If you want to eat healthy but are on the go, don't turn down Fast Food joints just yet! You don't have to order that large fatty burger with a side of oily french fries. Instead, try these delicious low-calorie options. Now you can eat at McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, KFC, and other Fast Food places without feeling the guilt under your belt!

While there are still a ton of unhealthy high-calorie foods on the McDonalds menu, they have improved a lot since a few years back. Now there are more healthy options for a health-conscious individual. Their salads are particularly tasty and delicious, but be careful - stay away from fried-salad-anythings!

  • Breakfast: Fruit & Walnuts (210 Calories)
  • Lunch: Premium Southwest Salad with Grilled Chicken (290 Calories)
  • Dinner: Chipotle BBQ Snack Wrap (250 Calories)

Burger King

Be careful with Burger King. There are low calorie options, but all their sandwiches are high fat and calorie bombs. Stick with the wraps and the side salad (don't even think about dressing).

  • Breakfast: Original Maple Flavored QUAKER® Oatmeal (170 Calories)
  • LunchRanch Crispy Chicken Snack Wrap (370 Calories) and Garden Side Salad (40 Calories)
  • Dinner: Hamburger (260 Calories) and Garden Side Salad (40 Calories)

KFC is a very monotonous fast food joint. That is, they only cater to lunch and dinner situations, and their menu rarely every changes. It's hard to find breakfast menu items without blaring the food taboo alarm, but there are still great options available for you. Stick with the grilled chicken - one chicken breast (the biggest chicken piece they have) is 220 calories, which is substantially lower than their fried counterparts (510 Calories for Extra-Crispy Breast).

  • Breakfast: House Side Salad without Dressing (15 Calories) and Grilled Chicken Thigh (170 Calories)
  • Lunch: Grilled Chicken Wing (80 Calories), Corn on the Cob (70 Calories), and Mashed Potatoes with Gravy (120 Calories)
  • Dinner: Two Grilled Chicken Drumsticks (180 Calories), Green Beans (25 Calories), and Cole Slaw (150 Calories)

Wendy's is known for their square true-American burgers. However, the more true-American something is, the more calories it would hold. There are a few nutritional items available for customers, but you have to be careful. They may be "healthy", but they are still high in calories. Stick with the salads and do not even touch the Beef burgers.

  • Breakfast: Garden Side Salad (210 Calories) and Apple Slices (40 Calories)
  • Lunch: Ultimate Chicken Grill (hold the sauce) (~300 Calories)
  • Dinner: Grilled Chicken Go Wrap (260 Calories)

Remember: the key to weight loss is control and meticulous observation. Just because a restaurant boasts about their new "healthy" salad, that salad may be huge when it comes to calories. Examine your options further before making your choice, and don't forget to employ healthy eating habits!

Great reminders about what to look for when healthy alternatives are needed. Personally I find a hamberger to be a good choice, of course it doesn't look very tasty, but it does the trick. LOL

Thanks for including breakfast, lunch and dinner.  You've done your research - great job!

Even in this you can make some changes which will be low calorie and maintains your weight.
